Dear parents and friends of the International German School

With Jessica Belknap and Udo Gigger our first new colleagues have started arriving.

	Jessica Belknap is a young, committed teacher who will be taking over first grade. Having grown up bilingually (German and English), she will be of great support. Jessica will also assist the students in creative subjects.
	With Udo Gigger the school has gained a highly experienced teacher who already has taught abroad for 14 years. This upcoming school year he will be teaching second grade.
	Nico Bösinger, our third new member in our team will arrive on August 12th and teach grade five. He has lots of experience with open forms of schooling and individual learning processes since he completed his apprenticeship at a school for progressive education.
Besides our new members, most of the familiar teachers in our team will remain: Björn Klein (grade 7), Douglas Palmer (English, physical education, swimming), Heide Schaffer (grades 3/4, Assistant School Principal) and Peter Schäfer (science, Principal). Thomas Rockel and Tran Nguyen Kieu Thanh will continue to assist and support us this upcoming school year.
	Matthias Preiss, a highly experienced kindergarten teacher who set up a German kindergarten in Shanghai will be supporting our kindergarten and preschool team (Marianne Wilms, Caroline Kunze, Violetta Hoang, Nguyen Dinh Bao Tran und Vo Thi Thanh Anh). He will be leading our preschool group.
The remodeling is proceeding well. It would go beyond the scope of this letter to give you all the details. The map underneath will give you a good overview. Have a wonderful and relaxing time.
